Our schools educate by giving a lecture or assigning a chapter, then asking questions to test how well the material was comprehended. That doesn’t encourage intelligent thinking. It encourages lazy thinkers. We need to encourage more proactive thinking, discovery, and application. Then, we need to measure that and from it we will get a gauge of competency within that subject matter.
